Quiet Lions

My inbox remained untouched by the Bluecoat scribes this month and having searched our clubs results I can see why.

Losses throughout the month for teams I, II, and III were explanation enough however the fourth team had their own reasons. An absent match report could only be down to ongoing celebrations having recorded their first victory of the season away to Arun II. A 4-1 win wasn’t quite enough to lift them from the bottom of Division 4 but the celebrations may continue beyond their next fixture on the 19th.

A welcome back to competitive Squash for local legend Julian Bidlake.

Paddy Bidlash made his return after a long injury layoff. Coming away from the fixture unharmed was far more important than his result and we hope he can carry on throughout the season.

The 1st team sits comfortably in 3rd place with a game in hand over West Worthing and Midhurst. The 2nd and 3rd teams sit 7th and 8th, respectively, in Division 3.
