Our summer swimming activities

Swimming is always one of the most popular summer holiday activities for kids. Time in the pool is fun and refreshing, especially during the warmer months. It also helps children build a skill that can support them well beyond the school holidays.
Aqua Splash!
Our one hour Aqua Splash! sessions are suitable for most swimmers and are an opportunity to splash about in the pool, play family games, and climb on floats.
Family Swim
Our Family Swim sessions run for 45 minutes, where you can bring your own floats, inflatables, and toys to have fun in the swimming pool and burn off some energy as a family. Members can bring up to three guests, and it’s a great chance to unwind.
Our Aqua Splash and Family Swim sessions will appear on the pool timetable two weeks in advance, and will need to be pre-booked by calling reception on 01403 247572.
Intensive swimming courses
Next course dates: 3rd – 7th August 2026 / 24th – 28th August 2026
Over the summer we’re running five-day intensive swimming courses. These are ideal for children to improve their technique or even try something brand new. Designed for children aged 4 1/2 + years of all abilities, from beginner to advanced, you can register your interest by completing our form.
View the timetable for more information on each session. We’re also offering Snorkelling and Rookie Lifesaving sessions. Please contact us for more information or if you have any questions.
Active play for younger children
For younger children, summer activities often work best when they feel playful, varied and relaxed. A session that includes movement, soft play, creative activities or gentle challenges can help your little one burn off energy, explore and enjoy quality time with you.
These sessions are available to book via our timetable.
Arts & Crafts
Our popular parent-and-child arts & crafts sessions run for one hour and offer a range of activities for children aged 3 – 8 to get creative in a fun and friendly environment.

Jump ‘N’ Play
Jump ‘N’ Play is a parent-and-child play session suitable for children up to the age of 6. Sessions are one hour each, featuring a bouncy castle, soft play, ride-on cars, and art and crafts. There’s something for every child to enjoy, and it’s a great way to spend time together over the summer.
For parents, these sessions can be a practical way to break up the week. Instead of planning a full family day out, a local activity can give children something exciting to attend while helping to keep the day as stress-free as possible.
Choosing the right activity for your child
Every child is different, so the right activity will depend on their age group and interests.
For younger children, play-based sessions and creative activities can be a great place to start. For children who enjoy the water, swimming activities or family pool sessions can be a brilliant option. For children who love sports, basketball or squash sessions may be ideal.
At our junior holiday camps, children can learn new skills and challenge themselves, all with the support of our dedicated team.
What should children bring?
For active sessions, children should wear comfortable clothes that they can move in and suitable trainers. A water bottle is also important, especially in summer, as children may be running, playing, or participating in energetic activities.
For swimming sessions, remember swimwear and a towel. For some activities, there may be extra items to bring, depending on the session. Parents should always check the latest booking information before attending to ensure they know the correct times and any other relevant details.
