What’s on this summer – junior activities and classes

Our summer timetable features a wide variety of exciting activities that are ideal for school-age children across different stages of development and interest levels.

From summer camps to family activities, here are just some of the options available:

Junior Squash Camp

  • Age: 8+ years
  • Sessions: 9am-12pm, Wednesday 23rd July / Thursday 24th July / Monday 28th July / Monday 4th August / Monday 11th August / Tuesday 26th August

Our junior squash camp is suitable for children aged eight and above and is designed for all abilities. It’s a great introduction to squash and a perfect way to learn new techniques with our coach Kit. Children will be encouraged to develop essential skills through friendly games. Each session lasts 3 hours and rackets are available to hire.

Junior Trampolining Camp

  • Age 3-5 years: Wednesday 30th & Thursday 31st July, 9.15am–10am / 11.15am–12pm, Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th August, 9.15am–10am, Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st August, 9.15am–10am / 11.15am–12pm
  • Age 5-8 years: Wednesday 30th & Thursday 31st July, 10.15am–11am, Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th August, 10.15am–11am / 11.15am–12pm, Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st August, 10.15am–11am

These energetic 45-minute sessions will teach your child how to safely bounce on the trampoline and a range of different techniques. Our qualified instructors will help build confidence over two sessions in a fun and friendly environment.

Junior Tennis Camp

  • Age 3-12 years: Friday 1st August / Friday 8th August / Friday 15th August / Friday 22nd August/ Tuesday 26th August
  • Age 11+ years: Friday 1st August / Friday 8th August / Friday 15th August / Friday 22nd August / Tuesday 26th August

Through a mix of games and structured drills, juniors will build confidence and develop key techniques like forehands, backhands, and basic coordination skills such as throwing and catching. This camp is suitable for all abilities and is a great way to try something new in a group setting over the holidays.

Junior Football Camp

  • Age 5-8 years: 9am-10am, Tuesday 12th & 14th August / Tuesday 19th & 21st August / Tuesday 26th & 28th August
  • Age 8-11 years: 10.30am-12pm,Tuesday 12th & 14th August / Tuesday 19th & 21st August / Tuesday 26th & 28th August

Our summer football camp is led by our friendly coach Megan, and each camp is a 2-day session, with two age groups available. Each junior will enjoy fun-filled football activities, including mini-tournaments and skill-enhancing tasks, such as dribbling drills. As such a popular sport, we’re confident it will appeal to many young football fans.

Family Swim

Over the school summer holidays, we’re pleased to be running additional Family Swim sessions in the pool, offering a fun and energetic activity for the whole family. For these playful sessions, you’re welcome to bring your own inflatables, floats, and pool toys.

If you enjoy these over the summer, our Family Swim sessions run most Thursday mornings, Saturdays, and Sundays during school term times.

Jump ‘N’ Play

  • Age: Up to 6 years
  • Sessions: Wednesdays and Fridays 9.45am–10.45am / 11am–12pm between 23rd July – 29th August

This popular parent-and-child session is running over the summer holidays with an amended timetable. It’s perfect for a relaxed and fun-filled playtime, featuring a bouncy castle, soft play area, cars and trikes, and arts and crafts activities.

Bluecoat Sports is located within the grounds of Christ’s Hospital School, just south of Horsham town centre, making it easily accessible for families across the local area. The club has on-site parking and convenient transport links, including Christ’s Hospital train station.

If you’d like to enjoy a coffee or some food, we also have a welcoming café, The Gallery Café on site, including a small play area for little ones. This can be found upstairs, before the entrance to our gym facilities.
