Member’s Forum Updates
- Maintenance of spin bikes
We have identified room for improvement in the communication of reporting of spin bike issues. When an issue is discovered, the instructor will report this issue on the Maintenance Log and to the Duty Manager. The Duty Manager will check this Maintenance Log and the spin bikes daily. Furthermore, we are now on the priority list with Matrix and are therefore hopeful that this will reduce the amount of time it takes to resolve these issues.
- Court bookings and classes
The Forum brought to our attention that there have been regular occasions where racket sport bookings and classes were scheduled back-to-back. On these occasions, 5-10 minutes has been blocked out before and after to reduce disruption. Unfortunately, it is not feasible to do this for every booking as this is a manual process. We have however asked the Reception team to remain mindful of keeping 5-10 minutes between class and racket bookings to allow sufficient time for set up and set down.
- Use of lights in classes
We’re currently gathering information on how frequently the lights are used, and more specifically in what classes. Once we’ve got a full picture, we’ll assess whether usage aligns with member preferences and adjust as needed. We have already started to make some adjustments, with a handful of classes being removed for the September timetable.
