BTS Launch
On Saturday 26th September 130+ people attended Bluecoats' quarterly launch of the Body Training Systems (BTS) Pump, Combat and Balance classes.
Launched across the country, Bluecoats instructors & class attendees threw themselves into the new BTS music routines, with many people trying the classes for the first time (we hope you come back!).
The day started early with Chris Tanner and Elaine Boys warming up the Saturday morning regulars and newcomers in the Body Pump Launch. The raw power of this class, which challenges all of your major muscle groups, was evident throughout the hour and the instructors, armed with new music, enthused and motivated the 40 participants.
Next followed Body Combat; Alex Fitzpatrick, Elaine Boys and Bluecoats Launch Debutant, Holly Barton energised the 55 strong class, whipping them up into a frenzy of kicks, punches and shouting. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. An electric atmosphere was further enhanced when the lights were cut and the focus was on the raw energy of the instructors for the finale.
The final act of the launch was Body Balance, led by Alex Fitzpatrick and Gemma Taylor, which calmed the audience and focussed on the core, the perfect finale to the earlier power. This Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
All of the above classes run throughout the week at Bluecoat Sports Health & Fitness Club and are available to both Members and Non Members. Newcomers to Body Pump need to complete a Body Pump Clinic which can be arranged at reception and we regularly run Combat clinics to allow you to learn and enhance your moves!
Don't miss out on the next Launch which will take place on 9th January 2010.
