Ann's Clipper Race

Dr Ann Williams, a Horsham GP and former Bluecoats Member, will be embarking on two legs of the Clipper Round the World Race 09-10 on Team Finland in aid of the Rob Gauntlett Trust.

Dr Ann Williams is embarking on the challenge of her lifetime as a crew member on the Clipper Round the World Race 2009/10.  She will be sailing two legs of the race with Team Finland from Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town and then Cape Town to Perth between 19th October 2009 and 11th January 2010.

She is raising money for the Rob Gauntlett Trust which aims to provide exceptional and life changing experiences to underprivileged teenagers.  In 2006, Rob and fellow school mate James Hooper, both former Christ's Hospital pupils, were the youngest Britons to climb Mount Everest but, in January 2009, Rob and another former CH pupil, James Atkinson tragically died whilst ice climbing in Chamonoix.

Ann commented "I am raising money for the Rob Gauntlett Trust to help others achieve their dreams - something that Rob inspired in so many people who met him.  His amazing achievements and his talent for motivational speaking will continue to help others through his trust."

You can follow Ann on her trip on www.clipperroundtheworld.com and if you would like to sponsor Ann or just donate to the Trust please visit www.annsclipperrace.co.uk

Good Luck Ann!
