Our fully equipped Crèche caters for children from 3 months to 5 years of age between 09.00 - 12.00 Monday to Friday during term time, and Monday to Thursday during school holidays.  To ensure that standards are kept at the highest level we are regulated by Ofsted, all staff are Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked and regularly attend staff training in order to ensure a safe, happy environment for your child and there is always a first aider on duty.

The crèche is available to members and non-members, members pay a reduced hourly rate and have priority booking.

Q&A

• What happens if my child needs a sleep?
  If your child normally sleeps at the time when you wish to do a class, you can either bring your buggy in or your child can sleep in the travel cot or push chair where one of our staff will ensure that they get the opportunity to sleep.
• What if my child is upset?
  Our experienced staff will try to comfort your child and if your child continues to be distressed we will find you and ask you to return to the crèche. 
• What if my child needs a nappy change?
  We will find you so that you can change their nappy.
• Why do I have to be called to change my child’s nappy?  What if I am in a class?
  Technically we are not allowed to (by Ofsted Rules), however we will do so, if we have your permission and there are enough staff on duty to cover the care of the other children in the crèche.
• Is there a first aid appointed person available and what happens if my child has an accident?
  We always have First Aid appointed people present during the crèche sessions.
• How do staff deal with antisocial behaviour?
  The children are removed from the situation and we explain to the child on a one-to-one basis why their behaviour is unacceptable.  They are asked to apologise to the other child/children involved.  If the child continues with their antisocial behaviour, we may ask the parent to take a little “Time Out” from the crèche. The parents/carers are told about any incidents that have occurred.
